ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Tuesday said that demand for the accountants and accounting services would enormously increase in wake of Pakistan becoming the desired destination for investment, capacity creation and consumer demand.

The President said this while talking to a delegation of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), which called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The President appreciated the contributions of ICAP in establishing and regulating the accountancy and auditing professions in addition to imparting Chartered Accountancy qualification in the country.

He commended CA professionals for the global recognition and respect they have acquired because of their technical expertise, adherence to ethics and integrity.

He urged ICAP to continue its role towards strengthening the regulatory framework in cooperation with important policy making institutions and regulators.
