PTI govt striving for sustainable development: CM

LAHORE: The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday said that the PTI government is striving for permanent and sustainable progress in the country.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government was trying to solve problems created by the past rulers, the CM said and added steps were being taken to put the country on the right track during the last nine months.
He was talking to different delegations at his office here on Saturday.
The CM said, unfortunately, symbolic projects were made in the past instead of focusing on welfare and development of people. The masses were facing consequences of wrong polices of the past rulers and they started projects in health and education sector but did not complete them.
Several welfare and development projects in the past had been put in the cold storage and negligence was committed, he said and added the PTI government had started work on welfare and development projects and people would get better health and education facilities after the completion of these projects.
Deprivations of backward areas would be addressed and living standards of people would be raised, he said.
