Samsam Bukhari lauds Punjab Police services

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari on Saturday appreciated the Punjab police for resolving the public issues through use of modern technology and said that the Information Department would highlight positive steps of the police.

During his visit to Central Police Office (CPO) here, he said that he would play a role in image building of the Punjab police besides highlighting its effective measures taken for improving law and order in the province. The provincial government would provide all support and cooperation to the police for serving masses, he added.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab briefed the minister about Info-Tech based system and various projects including IG Complaint Cell 8787, internal accountability, service centres and police service counters.

The IGP said that conducting latest training and refresher courses was among his top priorities for capacity building of policemen.
