KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday overturned the death sentence awarded to a murder convict into life term in a double murder case.
A two-member bench of the SHC heard the appeal filed against death sentence awarded to a convict, Ismail, in 2013 in double murder case.
Prosecution told the bench that Ismail had murdered three persons and wounded two others by opening fire outside his residence.
The case was registered in Sharafi Goth on February 20 – 2013 against him.
The SHC judge remarked that testimonies are on record pertaining to the third murder and two wounded persons.
The bench rejected convict’s appeal against punishment and converted death sentence into life term in jail for killing two person.
