LISBON: Portuguese consumer prices rose 1.9 percent in March from the previous month, boosted by the end of seasonal clothing sales, the National Statistics Institute said on Wednesday, confirming its flash estimate.
The monthly consumer price rise came on the back of a 25 percent jump in clothing prices.
Compared to a year earlier, inflation was 0.7 percent, up from 0.6 percent a month earlier.
In the 12 months through the end of March, inflation reached 1.2 percent, down from 1.3 percent in February.
