LAHORE: Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore Shahzad Saleem gave away cheques worth Rs45.323 million to different departments, recovered in corruption scams.
According to NAB spokesman, NAB Lahore has completed investigation into numerous corruption cases which include: Investigations against Management of Gujranwala Irrigation Employees Cooperative Housing Society; officials of Public Works Department (PWD), Lahore; Investigations against officials of Citizen Community Board, Sheikhupura; Emirates Bank International (EMI) Fraud Case; Investigations against LAC Punjab Highways Department and defaulters of Islamic Investment Bank, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Bank of Punjab (BoP) Cases etc.
In pursuance of allegations of embezzlement and misappropriation, committed by the corrupt officials, NAB Lahore not only arrested the culprits but also managed to recover the looted money from them through Plea Bargain Law, whereas, during the last few days, DG NAB Lahore handed over cheques of Rs45.323 million to officials concerned/departments.
