Imran Khan ‘fully supports’ demand for separate south Punjab province

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has voiced his support for a separate south Punjab province and said that the senior leaders who have parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) have a right to demand for a new province.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Khan agreed with the eight senior leaders of PML-N and said that their demand was permissible. He said that south Punjab was bereft and nobody was there to listen to their voice, while the share too was not given to them. "All the share is given to Raiwand," he said.
Hitting out at the Sharif brothers, Khan said that the duo was fooling the entire nation by playing good cop and bad cop. "Older brother [Nawaz Sharif] was complaining of conspiracies against him whereas younger brother [Shehbaz Sharif] was showering praises for Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa," Khan added.
Speaking of any alliance with Pakistan Peoples Party, Khan said that alliance with Asif Ali Zardari meant alliance with Nawaz and that both were corrupt.
Meanwhile, Khan appeared today at an anti-terrorism court hearing against the 2014 sit in cases. The court has adjourned the hearing to April 25 where it will announce its decision on Imran's acquittal plea.
Khan has been accused in cases pertaining to attacks on senior superintendent of police Ullah Junejo, PTV office and Parliament during sit-ins back in 2014 and forcibly releasing the suspects.
