PESHAWAR: A sum of Rs. 1045.213 million being spent on two ongoing schemes of communication sector in district Malakand, informed Executive Engineer, C&W Malakand Shahzad Nasser on Friday.
Briefing the media at his office here, he said that work on construction of RCC Bridge on River Swat along with approach road at Thana Malakand is in full swing with an estimated cost of Rs. 429.160 million which is expected to be opened for traffic before Eid.
He said Rs.302.948 million had already been spent on the scheme till end of previous year 2016-17.He added that out of allocation of Rs.30.00 million during current financial year 2017-18, Rs.18.150 million has been released.
Out of the released amount he said Rs.10.650 million has been spent till date adding that it is expected to be opened for traffic before the end of current financial year. Similarly, he informed that reconstruction of 4.5 kilometer road along with bridge approach road Batkhela to Badwan is underway with an estimated cost of Rs.616.053 million and the scheme has already been opened for traffic.
Remaining developmental work costing Rs. 11.399 million will be fully completed up to June, 2018, he added.
