KARACHI: Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Karachi, has condemned and opposed the private bill introduced in the National Assembly for making amendments/additions by introduction of Sub-Section 6 in Section 41 of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils (Amendment) Act, 2019.

The SHCBA passed a resolution against the proposed amendment in its meeting presided over by Zia ul Haq Makhdoom, president of association. The SHCBA resolution rejected the proposed amendments to Sub-Section 6 in Section 41 of the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils (Amendments) Act, 2019 i.e. "The License of a Legal Practitioner shall be cancelled for life in case of physical violence against any person by him and the license shall also be cancelled if the legal practitioner is involved in cheating, fraud, forgery, false affidavits and deliberate concealment of facts".
