Brother confesses to raping, murdering his sister in Quetta

The 13-year-old girl, who was found dead in her house in Quetta's Killi Ismail area on Sunday, was raped and murdered by her own brother, the police revealed on Monday.

According to local media reports, Quetta's Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Abdul Razzaq Cheema said that the brother has confessed to murdering his sister after raping her. His blood samples have been sent for forensic analysis.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo had taken notice of this incident and had directed the DIG to submit a report in this regard.

The girl was found dead on Sunday and was taken to Civil hospital in Quetta, where medical examination report revealed that she was raped and then strangled to death.

Earlier this month in Mardan, another rape case was reported. A minor girl identified as Aasma, who went missing on January 13 from Gujjar Garhi area in Mardan, was found dead the next day. DNA reports revealed that the minor was raped before being murdered.
