LENZERHEIDE: Lindsey Vonn set the fastest time in the Super-G of the World Cup combined event at Lenzerheide in Switzerland on Friday in the absence of American rival Mikaela Shiffrin.
Vonn's time of 1min 11.84sec was 0.60sec ahead of Italy's Federica Brignone with Ragnhild Mowinckel of Norway third.
The slalom, Vonn's speciality, takes place later in the day.
With the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang beginning in two weeks, overall World Cup leader Shiffrin decided not to take part on Friday.
