Ministry’s Grievance Wing provides financial assistance to 614 patients in last 2 years: Senate told

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed on Wednesday informed the Senate that the Public Affairs and Grievances Wing of the ministry provided financial assistance to 614 patients from fatal diseases during the last two years.

Replying to a question during Question Hour, the minister said the Grievance Wing received 1434 applications for financial assistance to the poor patients during the said period.

To a supplementary question, he said Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) and Ministry of National Health Services were also providing financial assistance to the poor patients.

An amount of Rs. 8 billion was allocated to PMB for Sweet Homes and financial assistance to the poor patients.
