KARACHI: The Ambassador of Peoples Republic of China to Pakistan, Yao Jing called on Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair here at the Governor House Friday and discussed matters related to CPEC amidst emerging developments in the global scenario.
Governor Muhammad Zubair on the occasion appreciated that friendship between China and Pakistan remained unprecedented and that it was gaining further stability at a steady pace.
Citing CPEC to be crucial for economic development in the region, he said its impact was being felt fast in Sindh and that its capital and port city of Karachi holds every opportunity to emerge as major trade centre of the world.
"It is also good to register growing interest of Chinese investors in Karachi," said Sindh Governor assuring all needed support for foreign investors in different sectors of the economy.
Muhammad Zubair said since restoration of peace in Karachi surge is recorded in the investments being made here both by local and foreign investors.
He expressed his confidence that efforts made by Yao Jing to bring the dear friends all the more closer will prove to be equally beneficial for the people of the two countries.
It was reiterated that since schemes and projects initiated under CPEC are meant to ensure socio-economic empowerment of the people therefore these will be defended on strong lines.
"Being fully conscious of their relevance any attempt to disrupt will be resisted," said the Governor of Sindh.
On the occasion Ambassador of China said his country was committed to help Pakistan streamline its available investment opportunities.
"we are keen to assist in the meaningful upliftment of the people of Pakistan", said Yao Jing.
