KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Friday having 49346.60 points with a positive change of 332.78 and volume of 175,175,530 shares.

High and Low were 49464.06 and 49013.82 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 459,724,490shares with 410 total traded companies out of which 244 were up 155 were down and 11 were unchanged.

TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 91,620,000 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 61,484,400 shares.

The three top traded companies were Telecard Limited with a volume of 49,057,000 and price per share of 5.50 (0.35), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 19,036,000 of price per share of 50.95 (0.78), Engro Polymer... with a volume 14,218,500 of price per share of 20.92 (1.00).

The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 4190.99 (198.79), Sanofi-Aventis. with price per share of 2659.00 (62.61) and Pak Tobacco. share of 1385.00 (59.15).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4739.99 (-92.51), Khyber Tobacco with price per share of 1054.05 (-55.45) and Unilever Foods share of 5900.00 (-50.00).
