DAVOS: Pakistan wants good ties with all countries in its region, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed on Wednesday in a meeting with his Sri Lankan counterpart on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.
According to reports, the premier stated that Pakistan gives great deal of importance to its bilateral ties with Sri Lanka which have grown over time.
Sharif added that Pakistan wants to have friendly ties with all countries in the region for improvement of regional cooperation and betterment in South Asia.
Sri Lankan PM expressed his countrys desire to boost bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in different sectors including trade and defence.
Prime Minister Sharif also met with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven on the sidelines of the meeting and urged the world community to take notice of the human rights abuses being carried out by Indian forces in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
The Pakistani premier stated that Pakistan extends full moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiris who are struggling for their right to self-determination. Lofven shared Pakistans concerns over the situation in Occupied Kashmir.
The Swedish prime minister said that his country is cooperating with Pakistan and wants to strengthen and broaden ties with the country in different fields.
