KARACHI: On Wednesday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 48865.31 with a positive change of 186.66 and volume of 81,874,580 shares.

High and Low were 48971.01 and 48678.65 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 164,222,800 shares with 357 total traded companies out of which 216 were up, 130 were down and 11 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 33,093,800 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 18,471,100 shares.

The three top traded companies were Pak Elektron with a volume of 15,675,000 and price per share of 78.28 (3.72), B.O.Punjab with a volume 8,880,000 of price per share of 17.80 (0.42), Faysal Bank with a volume 8,858,500 of price per share of 27.13 (1.29).

The top three advancers were Khyber Tobaccowith price per share 1119.80 (52.80), Ghandhara Ind. with price per share of 1077.78 (51.32) and Millat Tractors share of 1056.19 (50.29).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4701.00 (78.54), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2730.00 (37.50) and Hinopak Motor per share of 1830.01 (19.99).
