KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 49039.41 points with a positive change of 1.18 and volume of 178,313,400 shares.

High and Low were 49439.26 and 48998.17 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 492,310,290 shares with 422 total traded companies out of which 247 were up 163 were down and 12 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 66,928,800 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 62,242,200 shares.

The three top traded companies were Azgard Nine. with a volume of 27,320,500 and price per share of 9.87 (0.64), B.O.Punjab with a volume 22,357,000 of price per share of 18.11 (0.24), Lotte Chemical with a volume 20,011,000 of price per share of 8.97 (0.23).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 5198.00 (73.40), Pak Services with price per share of 881.29 (41.96) and Service Ind.Ltd. share of 1558.35 (35.49).

The top three decliners were Ghandhara Ind. with price per share of 806.08 (-21.43), Abbott Lab. with price per share of 918.20 (-13.11) and Sanofi-Aventis. share of 2830.00 (-12.20).
