Lt Gen. Ishfaq Nadeem appointed new CGS

imageRAWALPINDI: Lieutenant General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad on Friday was appointed new Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Pakistan Army.

According to ISPR, before his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General, he was Director General Military Operations (DGMO) for over two years.

He has commanded a strike infantry division and led successful military operation in Swat.

Lt. Gen. Ishfaq Nadeem has also been chief of staff of a strike corps.
