Karachi police arrest 65 accused in last 24 hours

KARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals, arrested 65 accused from different areas of the metropolis during the past 24 hours.

A police statement on Wednesday said that those arrested include 13 absconders and those allegedly involved in cases of murder, dacoity and other crimes.

It said that 23 weapons of different calibres were also recovered from those arrested.

As many as 13 people were killed in the metropolis in different incidents during the last 24 hours.

Eleven of these were killed because of `unknown reasons', one died while resisting a dacoity while a body was recovered, the statement further pointed out.
