Karachi police arrest 73 accused in last 24 hours

KARACHI: The Karachi police in their drive against criminals, arrested 73 accused from different areas of the metropolis during the past 24 hours.

A police statement on Tuesday said that those arrested include 14 absconders and proclaimed offenders as well as those allegedly involved in cases of dacoity and other crimes.

It said that 15 weapons of different calibres were also recovered from those arrested.

As many as four people were killed in the metropolis during the last 24 hours.

Of these one lost his life while resisting a dacoity while three others were killed because of `unknown reasons'.
