ISLAMABAD: Moula Bakhsh Chandio, a Pakistan People's Party senator on Wednesday greeted Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on being elected as Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time.
He said that democracy was flourishing in the country as first democratic transition of power was made in Pakistan.
Talking to a private TV channel, Chandio hoped that new government would take steps to resolve the long standing problems faced by the country.
He said that PPP would support the PML-N government on national issues, adding that his party would oppose the wrong decisions.
Replying to a question, he claimed that his party had rendered a number of sacrifices for strengthening democratic system in the country.
