LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Wednesday suspended notification for appointment of Anwar Malik as chief executive officer of Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC).
Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh passed the orders on a petition filed by Khalid Mehmood Chatta challenging the appointment of Anwar Malik as CEO of PIDC. The court also sought reply from Ministry of production and others for June 12.
Earlier, the petitioner's counsel arguing before the court submitted that the interim government appointed Anwar Malik as CEO of PIDC without any authority. He pleaded the court to set aside the appointment being illegal.
The court after hearing the arguments suspended the notification for appointment of Malik Anwar as CEO PIDC and sought reply from respondents by June 12.
