LAHORE: Former chief minister Punjab and PML-N leader Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that he would leave no stone unturned to eradicate loadshedding from the country.
Talking to newsmen, on the occasion of joining a number of MNAs and MPAs-elect to PML-N, he said, elections were over now and they should shed election differences and work together to put the country on the path of progress and prosperity.
He said PTI had emerged as the largest single party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and according to the spirit of democracy it should be given a fair chance to form provincial government.
He said that Nawaz Sharif had already decided that the PTI would be given a chance to form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He however, said the PML-N would form government in Balochistan with the help of other parties.
Shahbaz Sharif pledged to bring looters and plunderers to account saying the law take its course.
Asked about allegations of rigging in elections, he said, EU Observer Mission had already declared that 90% elections were transparently held and if there was any complaint then it was from Karachi. He also said that caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Najam Sethi too had categorically stated that elections were held in a fair and transparent manner.
