Fire cracker explodes near a shop in Kharadar

KARACHI: A fire cracker reportedly exploded near a shop in Kharadar, old city area, Sunday evening causing some eight injuries.

According to police sources exact cause of the blast is still being investigated, however, those affected due to minor injuries have been despatched to an area hospital.

The affected area is frequented by food lovers, said the sources,

They said its aim may have been to create scare and also a reaction to ongoing action against criminal elements in the city.
