KARACHI: The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, has condemned the murder of local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Mukarram Shah, in Swat area.
In a statement on Sunday, the MQM chief termed it as an act of terrorism.
He said that the terrorists were targeting political leaders and the candidates for the forthcoming elections as part of a conspiracy to try to create instability.
Altaf Hussain demanded of the higher authorities to take notice of such incidents and ensure complete protection to the people without any distinction.
He also offered condolences to the ANP leaders and also sympathised with the members of the bereaved family.
