KARACHI: “Iron Man 3” cast and crew have decided to wait in respect for the Iron Lady as the London premiere of the third highly-awaited installment of their superhero franchise clashes with Margaret Thatcher’s funeral date.
Marvel Studios and Director Shane Black made the respectable decision to delay the UK premiere by a day because they expect royal traffic jams and great emotional upheaval on the funeral day of the only female to hold Britain’s highest political post. It would have been logistically difficult to manage two crowd-drawing functions on the same date.
Now the premiere will be held on 18th April at Leicester Square. But, to fans’ intense relief, the delay has not ticked Hollywood heartthrob Robert Downey Jr. and Oscar-winning co-actress Gwyneth Paltrow off the attendees list!
Iron Man 3 will see Tony Stark face off suit-less in a mission of revenge against Chinese supervillain the Mandarin. It will contain the answer to the question on everyone’s minds “Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?” The superhero flick will release in 3D on 3rd May.
