ISLAMABAD: Residents of twin cities took keen interest in paintings of Artist Soofia Hamid , displayed at the Art Gallery of Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC), that depict nature, landscapes and daily life.
Renowned painter and actor Jamal Shah, flanked by RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed, inaugurated the exhibition.
Her paintings, having abstract touch, bring forth subconscious observation of the painter and immediately grab notice due to their unique colour scheme.
Addressing the gathering, Jamal Shah said Sofia's paintings depict essence of nature and life, and colours used in her paintings immediately grab attention.
He said her paintings are a valuable addition to paintings assets of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. He gave credit to Rawalpindi Arts Council for holding the solo exhibition of her paintings.
RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed, speaking on the occasion, said Rawalpindi Arts Council always encourages artists to display their artworks for the general public, and new talent and experienced artists are given equal opportunities.
He said that the exhibition of Soofia's paintings is a feast for the art lovers of the region.
