LAHORE: The nation is celebrating the 136th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with national spirit and enthusiasm across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday (today).
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the eternal peace of Quaid-e-Azam and progress and unity of the country, while the national flag will be hoisted at all government and semi-government buildings.
A 31-gun salute and 21-gun salute would be given in the Federal capital and provinces, respectively. The main event of the day will be held at Mazaar-e-Quaid with the change of guard.
Seminars and conferences would be organised by a number of political, social, cultural and educational institutions throughout the country to highlight the services of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in achieving independence of Pakistan.
