Money changer deprived of $18,000

A gang of robbers on Tuesday looted $18,000 from an employee of private money changer in the jurisdiction of Boat Basin police station. According to police, some three unidentified armed men came in a white Corolla (GS-7315) intercepted the car of private money changer at Boat Basin remits and held all staff hostage at gunpoint.

Then they looted a bagful of US $18,000 and managed to flee from the scene in leaps and bounds. Police said that Mohammad Fayyaz, an employee of said money changer, withdrew US $18,000 from a branch of private bank located in Khayaban-e-Tauheed and added that the investigation in this regard has been initiated to nab the culprits.
