Two brothers gunned down in Karachi

Two brothers were gunned down here on Tuesday. According to police and rescue sources, two brothers named, Salman, 20, and Asad, 22, sons of Shabbir were shot and killed while Ikram, 35, son of Rasheed was shot and injured by unidentified armed men in Nazimabad Goal Market.

The police said the incident occurred when they were present inside their shop, Suddenly, two armed men barged into it and opened indiscriminate firing and fled from the scene leaving both brothers Asad and Salman dead on the spot while an employee identified as Ikram got injured. The bodies and injured were moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively. The police said the incident seems a result of sectarian killing.

Separately, Muhammad Ali, 45, son of Sher Khan allegedly committed suicide while hanging with a ceiling fan in Bazatta Lane, located near Aisa Bhawani College. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post-mortem examination. Khan Wardat, 26, son of Hassan Khan, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Hamza Chowk in Shireen Jinnah Colony. He was rushed to JPMC for treatment. In another incident, Asif, 22, son of Arif, was shot and injured by unknown armed men near ZMC in Orangi Town. He was rushed to ASH for treatment.
