RIGA: The central bank of Baltic state Latvia kept its key policy rate unchanged at 2.5 percent on Thursday, seeing few headwinds in the economy of a nation hoping to adopt the euro next year.
"Since inflation indicators are consistently low and the rate of economic growth poses no risks to price stability in the medium term, the Bank of Latvia Council is of the opinion that the current stance of the monetary policy is appropriate for the economic situation," the bank said in a statement.
