 NEW YORK: The euro briefly extended losses against the US dollar on Wednesday after US data pointed to a nascent housing recovery.

It traded around $1.3228 before the release of the data and last traded at $1.3234, roughly unchanged on the day.

The National Association of Realtors said on Wednesday existing home sales increased 4.3 percent to an annual rate of 4.57 million units last month, the highest since May 2010.
