Lahore District Government budget on July 22

LAHORE (updated on: July 12, 2008, 10:57 PST): Lahore District Nazim Mian Amir Mahmood has said a tax-free budget of the District Government will be revealed on July 22 in the next session of the District Council. He was talking to a delegation of nazims from different union councils on Friday said that there would be no changes in the existing district government tax.

He said the district government was allocating a record amount of money on development programmes and one third of the amount of this budget has been allocated for education. It has also included long-term development projects for the benefit of the people in this budget and more funds has been allocated for providing safe drinking water.
