TradeKey, a leading online business-to-business marketplace, has been included in the top 50 companies of AllWorld's Arabia Fast Growth 500 list and it's also ranked as one of the top 25 fastest growing companies of Pakistan.

Pakistan has a very large informal sector in which 20 percent growth was recorded in 2007. According to a conservative estimate in 2007, out of $160 billion size of country's economy, $32 billion plus is in the informal sector. These were the findings of a report. "The informal sector, social protection and the state budget" by Dr Rubina Saigol which were discussed in the seminar organised by HomeNet Pakistan on Thursday.
The government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) on Thursday decided to introduce a computer literacy programme from the primary education level in all educational institutions of AJK. The government has launched a plan to make the youth acquainted of the Information Technology (IT) knowledge, which is need of the modern age, the sources told APP. The remote and far-flung areas will be preferred under the mass computer literacy extension programme, they added.

SAP announced a $3.4 billion cash deal to buy US web-based software company SuccessFactors, joining the scramble among technology firms to offer cloud-computing services to businesses. SAP said it would pay $40 per share for SuccessFactors, a premium of 52 percent over both its Friday closing price and the one-month volume-weighted average price, making it expensive for any rival bidder that might want to put in a counter bid.
