wheat-flour-chakki-atta-250x250FAISALABAD: An increase of Rs.60 was witnessed in the rate of wheat in opened markets of Faisalabad.

The government fixed the wheat price at rate of Rs 1050 per 40 kilogram but now it is being sold at Rs 1110 per 40 kg.

The increase in wheat price was occurred due to its shortage in open market whereas the flourmills owners also enhance the rate of flour. A market survey revealed that the 20 kg flour bag was available at Rs 565 but now it is being sold in open market at Rs 610 to Rs 625 per 20 kg bag.

Vice Chairman Faisalabad Flour Mills Association Muhammad Saleem told to the media persons that the hoarders have stocked the wheat in their godowns due to which the open market is experience its shortage.

He said that government should provide wheat to the flour Mills at Rs 1000 per 40 kg as supplied during previous year and special subsidy should also be given to decrease the rate of flour in the open market.
