TDAP holds certificate awarding ceremony
LAHORE (July 29, 2010): Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organised a certificate awarding ceremony at Lahore office for distribution of certificates among the participant of a five days workshop. The objective of the workshop was to train businessmen in this sector about the basics of exports. It was a five days successful feature with over fifty participants who also debated on the Gems and Jewellery promotion.




PBIT holds meeting to discus Pak-German trade relations
LAHORE (July 29, 2010): Chief Operating Officer, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), Fazal Abbas Maken held a meeting with Dr Gregor Schotten, Counsellor of Political & Economic Affairs, Germany, to discuss and explore Pak-German Trade Relations and other matters of mutual interest at PBIT office here on Wednesday.




Bhitshah uplift project Phase-I near completion: CS
HYDERABAD (July 29, 2010): The Chief Secretary Sindh Fazul Rehman has said that Provincial Culture Department, Auqaf Department and Project Director Bhitshah Development Project have been simultaneously engaged with separate assignments of Bhitshah Development and Beautification Works.

Traders refuse to close shops at 8pm in Ramazan
MULTAN (July 29, 2010): Markazi Anjuman Tajiran (MAT), Small Traders Chamber (STC), Pakistan Traders Alliance (PTA) have rejected the closure of bazaars at 8:00 pm during the month of Ramazan and had formally informed the authorities of their decision in this regard.



Government urged to revoke decision of two weekly holidays
KARACHI (July 29, 2010): Industrialists and traders on Wednesday urged the government to revoke its decision of extending the two weekly holidays till October 31. Government has taken this decision to counter the energy crisis prevalent in the country.



Rahat meets Hafeez
ISLAMABAD (July 29, 2010): Rahat Kounain Hassan, newly appointed Chairperson of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) paid a courtesy call on the Federal Minister for Finance, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh here on Wednesday. Traders concerned over signing of APTTA minutes
ISLAMABAD (July 29, 2010): The business community of Islamabad and Rawalpindi has expressed serious concerns over the signing of the minutes of the meeting by the commerce ministers of the two countries that provide a disturbing blueprint for the subsequent finalisation of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA).
