KARACHI (October 05 2006): The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) has revised the futures contract schedule for trading and settlement of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited.

In a notice issued here on Wednesday, the KSE said that the trading and settlement schedule on cum-dividend/bonus basis would be 'October (A) 2006': Opening contract date September 25, 2006 closing of contract October 13 (Friday) and settlement would be on October 18, 2006 (Wednesday).

For ex-dividend/bonus basis, the schedule for 'October (B) 2006' would be as opening date October 9, 2006 (Wednesday), closing of contract on November 3, 2006 (Friday) and settlement would be on November 8, 2006 (Wednesday).

However, the KSE said that might alter or vary the dates or reduce/extend the contract if any necessity arises. Trades taking place in the shares of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited in October (B) 2006, contract would not be eligible for the payment of dividend/bonus for which companies have already notified the dates of book closure and would be on ex-dividend/bonus basis.
