LAHORE (February 07 2010): The Expo Centre Lahore is likely to be inaugurated on March 23, 2010, which would host first exhibition in April this year. The Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Waheed Raza Bhatti said this, while talking to
Business Recorder after inaugurating an exhibition at the WBIC a project of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) here on Saturday.
He hoped that the first exhibition at the Expo Centre Lahore is likely to be attended by a considerable number of buyers from India, Afghanistan, Iran, Bangladesh and other regional countries. The provincial and the federal government have jointly established the Expo Centre, which would play an important role in promoting local and international trade, he added. He also appreciated the WBIC for organising exhibition for the genuine women entrepreneurs.
The Women Businessmen Incubation Centre, (WBIC) Project Manager, Mamona A. Sattar said the Centre is organising such event on monthly basis that provides ample opportunities to the women entrepreneurs. The women entrepreneurs could promote their business by using WBIC facilities even during economic recession, she added.
