The UK Career Fair arranged by the British council served two purposes – one, that it was a great step towards creating a link between the employers in Pakistan and the Career Advisors at universities in the UK and second, it was a successful attempt at making students aware of the organizations working in Pakistan and the sort of work they were doing. It gave the students a good idea of what opportunities would be available back home, should they decide to return and it also made the corporate sector aware of the sort of talent available in foreign universities. The event itself was very well organized and the organizers very hospitable. The turnout was fantastic with students keen to know more about the visiting organizations.
