Apna Arsh Pakistan-Center for Sustainable Development (AAP-CSDA), a citizen sector organization, with an emphasis on grassroots to policy level activities and advocacy, recently launched their AgriBusiness Development Forum (ABDF) Pakistan, at a talk held at LUMS. This event was supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN.
At the talk it was discussed that the broad objective of the ABDF is to provide a cohesive platform for all agri players in Pakistan, at the micro, meso and macro levels. The ABDF will provide a voice to policy level concerns, as well as incubation for innovative pilot projects at the grassroots level, utilizing a hybrid value chain approach.
Presentation on competitiveness of the Agri sector was given by Dr Mahmood Ahmad and Ms Aeyesha Gulzar presented the concept of the AgriBusiness Development Forum and action plans.
