A photograph of Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. Originally known as Lahore International Airport, it was renamed in 2003 to Allama Sir Muhammad Iqbal, upon the opening of the new terminal building.

The airport has three terminals - the Allama Iqbal terminal, the Hajj terminal, and the cargo terminal.

The airport is located 15 kilometres from the centre of the city. A total of 3,192,904 passengers  traveled through the airport in 2009.
