Islamabad police arrest 14 suspects

The Islamabad Police on Friday arrested 14 suspects including three robbers from different areas for their involvement in different crimes from whom the police also recovered 28 bottles of liquor and beer, 650 gram hashish and two pistols along with ten live rounds, a police spokesperson revealed.
Following directives from SSP Muhammad Yusuf Malik, ASI Asif Hayat and Mohammad Anar arrested four accused identified as Falak Sher, Mohammad Hafeez, Sharifullah and Wajid, recovering 24 cans bear, 24 liquor bottles, PTCL cable worth Rs 0.2 million and stolen taps worth Rs 10,000 from their possession.
ASI Mohammad Hanif of Bahara Kahu Police arrested Waqar and Adnan and recovered a water pump of Rs 15, 000 from them.
SI Muhammad Aslam and Abdur Razaq arrested Khayal Gul and Arab Gul and recovered 650 grams hashish from them.
ASI Abdul Ghafoor of Tarnol Police arrested an accused Sher Alam and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him along with five live rounds.
ASI Mumtaz Baig of Industrial Area arrested three beggars Abdul Qayyum, Umar Din and Abdul Majeed.
ASI Abdul Hafeez of CIA arrested an accused Muhammad Ilyas and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him along with five live rounds.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
Inspector General of Police Bani Ameen Khan SSP Muhammad Yusuf Malik appreciated performance of the police personnel, directing them to be vigilant to make the federal capital crime-free.
