Two cops gunned down

The spate of targeted-killing continued as two cops were gunned down in Sultanabad in the jurisdiction of Manghopir Police Station on Friday.
According to police, unidentified armed-men sprayed head constable Nadeem Abbasi and constable Sajid with bullets when they were passing through Sultanabad in a car.
Both the policemen received four bullets each and succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
Police said Late Abbasi was deployed at Manghopir while Sajid at Sher Shah Police Station.
DIG West, Imran Yaqoob Minhas said the motive behind the dual murder is yet to be ascertained, adding victim Nadeem Abbasi participated in several raids against the outlawed.
He further said police has recovered over a half dozen empty shells of 9MM from the scene of the incident.
No case was registered till filing of this report.
