Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on Sunday with traditional zeal and fervour in a bid to reiterate complete solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their indigenous struggle for attaining the right of self-determination and liberation of their motherland from Indian yoke.

The Special Committee of Parliament on Kashmir has prepared recommendations for convening joint sitting of Trade and Foreign Ministries with Kashmiri leadership on the issue granting India Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status for trade. Parliamentary Kashmir Committee met on Saturday in Parliament House, Islamabad, with Fazlur Rahman in the chair.
President Asif Ali Zardari said on Saturday that Pakistan will continue its complete solidarity with the Kashmiris and extend fullest political, moral and diplomatic support to their just cause.
Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Geelani has said that Kashmiris are not against India's integrity but want it to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with their aspirations.
Dr Fehmida Mirza, National Assembly Speaker, has said that the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is emblem of tranquillity, justice, modesty, peace, love and brotherhood. She said that Ummah should seek salvage from the difficulties by following and practicing the teaching of Holy Prophet.
Chairman of Shalimar Group of Companies and former senior vice president of Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce Mian Muhammad Atique has announced to come into the fold of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM). Addressing a news conference at Nine Zero on Saturday, he reposed his full confidence in the leadership of Altaf Hussain, saying that Altaf Hussain was the only leader in the country who was pursuing the ideology of "Realism and Practicalism" of his party with complete sincerity and honesty.
A bill has been submitted to Senate seeking amendment in Constitution with a view to curtailing intelligence agencies' role in preventive detention, and making permission of a concerned province's High Court mandatory prior to handing over of any Pakistani citizen to a foreign country.
