He said this while addressing the business community at a reception hosted by the Association of Trade and Industry of Site at its office in his honour, here on Thursday. He said that after assuming the charge, he had launched a targeted operation against street crimes and taken effective measures to resolve worsening traffic jam issue, which had caused a lot of problems for the citizens of Hyderabad.
He further said that an action would be taken against encroachments in the Site area. Baloch said that that the DSP and SHO concerned had been directed in this regard, adding that the co-operation of industrialists would be appreciated. Earlier, Aslam Bawani, Chairman Association of Trade and Industry of Site welcomed the guest on behalf of the association.
In his welcome address, Bawani lauded the efforts of the SSP in bringing down the crime rate in the city and invited his attention to the problems being faced by industrialists in Site. He said that there were around 300 big and small industrial units where more than 100,000 workers were employed.
He said they were concerned at increasing crime incidents especially mobile and money snatching during the night shift. After 11 at night, roads and streets did not remain safe. He further said that factory vehicles were also looted. Bawani informed the SSP about anti-social elements encroaching Site area plots and making illegal construction on these encroached lands. The encroachments had increased during the last two years, he observed. The office-bearers of the Association present at the reception included Shahid Iqbal, Javed Memon, Hakeem Nazir Shaikh, Shahid Ghori, Muhamamd Arif, Muhammad Imtiaz, Mahesh Kumar, Mohan Lal and Sawanmal.
