CALGARY: Royal Dutch Shell Plc said on Monday it is restarting a unit at its 255,000 barrel per day Scotford oil sands upgrader near Edmonton, Alberta.
On a notice posted on a community information line, the company said the unspecified unit was restarting on Monday morning.
The upgrader is part of Shell's 60-percent owned Athabasca oil sands project. Chevron Corp and Marathon Oil Corp each have 20 percent stakes in the venture.
