Board-of-Secondary-EducatioKARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Monday announced the result of SSC Part II Annual Examination 2012 Science Group.

Muhammad Kashif of Eden Public School, Block 5, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, was declared first. He secured 811 out of the total of 850.

The second position was shared by Mairaj Khalid Khan of F.F. Public School, Buffer Zone, North Karachi, and Sana Khan of karachi Public School, Block 6 Gulshan-i-Iqbal. They obtained 805 marks each.

The third position went to Mehjabeen Qasim of Shaheen Public School with 803 marks.

According to the statistics, 128,361 candidates appeared in the examination whereas 90,996 were declared as successful with a pass percentage of 70.89.

As many as 14,300 candidates were place in A-1 grade and 23,967 in A grade.

The number of those places in B grade was 26,429 and 19,443 in C grade.

In all, 6,460 candidates got D grade and 93 obtained E grade while 304 passed in additional subjects.

A BSEK announcement said that marks statements will be issued after 20 days.

The marks statements of regular and ex-candidates will be issued after to the authorized representatives of the schools/institutions from the Board.

The marks statements of private candidates will be mailed to their address as mentioned in the examination admission forms, it was further stated.
