MADRID: The Spanish stock market jumped more than 3.0 percent in mid-afternoon trade on Monday, led by a sharp rebound in the banks in a volatile market which has seen sustained heavy losses in recent trade.
The Ibex-35 index, which shed over one percent in the morning, was up 3.15 percent at 6,256.10 points with Santander, Spain's largest bank, up 4.77 percent and BBVA up 5.22 percent.
