Fiscal Year 2014 revenue position: US embassy asks FBR for briefing

The Embassy of the United States has requested FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa to brief the embassy officials on the 2013-14 revenue collection position of the Board besides other revenue-related matters/ developments. It is learnt here on Friday that the US embassy has written a letter to FBR Chairman in this regard.

According to the sources, the Economic Section of the Embassy of the United States of America, Islamabad has requested a meeting of Economic Counsellor Sarah Beran and Treasury Attaché Irfan Vaid at United States Embassy, Islamabad, with FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa during next week. The meeting will provide them an opportunity to discuss the second quarter (October-December) tax revenue developments by the FBR and the general developments at this front, US embassy added. FBR Chairman is presently out of the country and will return on Wednesday to resume the office, sources added.
