ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the Senate membership of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the media reported on Monday.
The three-member bench headed by chief justices of Pakistan announced the decision against the interior minister over holding a dual nationality.
Earlier, the apex court also suspended the National Assembly membership of wife of former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani, Farahnaz Ispahani, over her dual nationality.
The hearing of the case has been adjourned till June 13.
